Connection is broken when I start engine. Why?

Postby uNick » Mon Mar 12, 2007 9:29 pm

Hello,

I need some help on cable usage. Car is WRX 2.5 STI'04 US. I read your message http://www.epifansoft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12 and purchased the KKL-USB cable (http://www.autopribor.ru/obor/kkl-usb/kkl-usb.htm).

When the Ignition is ON I can normally connect with ecuExplorer and ecuEdit. But if I start engine the connection breaks immediately. So, I don't see any real time values at all besides only the first sample. ecuExplorer starts posting the following message in the diagnostic console:

22:00:43.940 - to ECU : LiveQuery
22:00:44.010 - <-- 80 10 F0 08 A8 00 00 00 0F 00 00 0E 4D - ........
....M
22:00:45.189 - Response Timeout - LiveQuery
22:00:45.189 - LiveQuery failed with 4103 [0x1007]
22:00:45.199 - LiveQuery [0xE] [0xF]
22:00:45.199 - --> 80 10 F0 08 A8 00 00 00 0F 00 00 0E 4D - ........
....M

I can normally read the trouble codes and reset ECU when the ignition is ON.

ecuEdit Subaru logger also connects when ignition is ON but all the measurements I select show just empty fields. Nothing changes when I start the engine.

What can I do to see the real time values? Is it a cable glitch or what?

You must each time after connection UNPAUSE logger (Ctrl+P) or turn off this option by uncheck Connect/Pause Logging after Connect

Of course, I unpaused everything. It really seems that connection is broken for some reason. The program tries to get values but don't get them. Is there any posibility to see the log what is happening.
