So, the current user of Ver2.6xxx has to re-register??

Can I just check the box "EcuEdit Executable File Only" in the Set Up Wizard without having to re-register?
I did it My Way.

No, if you want to use v3 you must re-register.
BTW, new v3 installation package have new XML files (for read/flash functions) and updated XMLs (SSM logger descriptions and others)

For register: you must download latest version of ecuEdit, install it, execute it, in the
first message window press "Enter Key" and send your "Hardware Fingerprint" code and your "User Name" to me.

I don't think I'll be buying anything else from here the logger/map tracer in 2.xx didn't even work right the flash probably won't either. But I won't be wasting the $150 to find out especially after the $125 I wasted on ecuedit 2.xx the only thing I even use this for is to view my logs. Not upgarding existing customers is very lame.

I don't understand you. You have FREE upgrade ability to new version with same basic functionality as previous major version. Upgrade cost from Standard to Pro is $30. Free upgrades for major version is unusual practice! Because all major upgrades is not free for most products. Look at Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word and other. I spend many time and invest some money to build Flash support and you think this is must be for FREE?

P.S. You still can use ecuEdit Standard for free + free flash tools
