Fuel map - idle

Fuel map - idle

Postby XNWRX » Tue Jan 16, 2007 8:30 am

Does anyone knows what low det and high det fuel map - idle correspond to and under what conditions are they used ?
I can't see how these full loaded tables could correspond to idle !

I'd imagine they may be used when the car is idling, but think you are right, only 1 or 2 cells are likely to be used. Perhaps there are other uses for it but I don't know what they are.

I have left that table alone and made changes to the low det fuel map. The car definitely uses this map when driving, and the changes can be seen in the wideband logs.

Thanks Swifty.
As I do experience some problems with my AFR on my EUDM MY02 STi (whilst fuel pressure and MAF are correct), I was wondering about these idle tables (as I didn't modify them).
A friend of mine disassemble that code from EUDM MY99 GT (same code as post MY00) :

it is clear that MAP1 and MAP2 are used for low-det and MAP3 and MAP4 are used for high-det. We still have to log memory variables to see and determine the switching conditions between MAP1 and MAP2, and MAP3 and MAP4. Not easy as conditions are unknown.

Remember that if the o2 sensor is failing, it throughs off everything.

it suddenly became leaner.
But it's now sorted out, it was due to the long term fuel learning going down to -10% because of my increase in fuel pressure.
