Hi all, just joined. Looks to be an interesting forum. Looking forward to learning and buying this software. :D

I could do with help though, Im a technician in a garage, but ive always wanted to modify engine maps. Ive downloaded different things and viewed the maps. But really dont know what Im looking at. I watched the videos, great help, but I really dont understand how you know what to modify and how far.
If I bought this software, would I get the help to try and modify my map in my golf? Any help appreciated.

you can only use editor and mapfinder features of ecuEdit for you Golf. Seems the ecuEdit logger didn't work with Golf. If you are will log you Golf with Vag-Com - you can also view logs. I haven't ECU descriptions (map list) for VW, so you must to find maps by yourself.

No, logger is work with CAN-bus cars using OBD protocol. So, many EDM cars are supported.
- ecuEdit is universal car oriented hex files editor
- logviewer can work with any CSV log files, so you can have powerful log analyzer
