Engine Load without decimal ?!

Engine Load without decimal ?!

Postby Sous Bas Roue » Thu May 10, 2007 3:46 pm

Hello,

"Engine Load" is logged as Integer...

exemple :

RPM : 5500 tr/min
MAF : 250 g/s

Engine Load = (2 x 60 x 250) / 5500 = 5,45 g

Engine Load logged in ecuEdit : 5 !

Why no decimal ?

Thanks.

PS : I have à 16bits ECU.

By default (in logdefs.xml) "Engine Load" parameter read from ECU (already calculated) via SSM. Engine Load parameter described as calculated [value from ECU]/32 with 2 decimals.

I think you choose incorrect Engine Load address.

Thanks, I had not seen the Engine Load address choice !

But now, I can't read my logs.

And why in a log with ecuedit the load is going from 0 to 5 and more but in the Ignition timing map or other in ecuedit th load is from 0 to 2.40 (AH990 5512 16 bits and non DBW STI).

It's because its g/rev in the carto and g in the ecuedit log.

Because in a 4 strokes 1 cycle = 2 rev ?

So the value from the map x 2 = value of the log ?

Or maybe i understand nothing :)

Thanks.

Yes, all that you need is change logger descriptions and maps descriptions to one calculation expression.
Usually, 2.0 turbo cars have 0 to 5 load values, DBW cars have /2 load values.
