ecuedit will not allow negative values! :(

Postby thejean » Fri Sep 15, 2006 2:49 am

When I try to enter negative timing values in ecuedit, they will not save as negative but automatically turn into some positive number. Anyone know why or to fix this? The allowable value ranges are WELL outside the values I am looking at using. Enginuity will allow negative timing up to -20 degrees but the tables I need are not available in enginuity but rather, are in ecuedit so I need to be able to do it there. Can anyone help?

this is not ecuEdit :wink: Maps that you try edit with negative values don't support this or XML description is not correct (map data type is unsigned). Please tell me what map you try edit and show map XML to me (you can press Ctrl+X in map editor to show XML)

Here you go...

And the full XML is:

<map name="Main Ignition Map - #05 - 29BB2" type="3" active="1" level="0">
<cols count="16" func_2val="[value]/8192" func_val2="[value]*8192" offset="#29B91" power="2" format="%.2f" caption="grams" desc="Engine Load - Air per Cyl. Charge">
</cols>
<rows count="16" func_2val="[value]/5.12" func_val2="[value]*5.12" offset="#29B70" power="2" format="%.0f" caption="RPM" desc="Engine RPM">
</rows>
<data func_2val="[value]/2.844444444444445+(-20)" func_val2="([value]-(-20))*2.844444444444445" offset="#29BB3" power="1" format="%.2f" caption="Ign Deg" desc="Base Ignition Timing" color_dir="1" inc="1" incb="5" inc_dir="1">
</data>
</map>

It turns out I was trying to use -30... will only allow -20 and higher.
