running ecuedit in windows 98

Postby rexnprogress » Wed Jan 17, 2007 12:12 am

is it just not possible?
it installed fine, but when i open the program i get a popup with "class not registered". once i hit ok then the toolbar opens.

i click on the subaru logo and i get "access violation at address 0062DC17 in module 'ecuedit.exe'. Read of address FFFFFFFF."

im making sure this will work on my ancient laptop before i buy it, cause i dont want to buy a new one. after i click through that last popup everything seems fine. except when i try to start the demo, in which case i get a similar message and the 'data & graph' tab stays blank.

will the above error keep it from connecting properly?

Do you know that 98 is obsolete and buggy as hell.

Upgrade to win2k or xp.
